The legendary Johnny Majors and Riley Wallace

Riley Wallace had a great year kicking for the Cougar Football Program. He has since moved on to ply his skills on the pitch for Cougar Soccer.

Last week Riley returned to the football side of things briefly to receive a great honor. Wallace was honored with the National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award.

Wallace was recognized Saturday at the The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame in Knoxville.

Founded in 1947 with early leadership from General Douglas MacArthur, legendary Army coach Earl “Red” Blaik and immortal journalist Grantland Rice, the National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame is a non-profit educational organization that runs programs designed to use the power of amateur football in developing scholarship, citizenship and athletic achievement in young people.
