In the wee hours of the morning of September 19th Deputy Brandon Gross was dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident. It turns out that the accident followed a domestic violence incident.

Deputy Gross made contact with the victim, Delmus Bolton, who stated that he was attempting to leave due to an argument with Heather Nicole Bolton, 35 of LaFollette. The victim stated that Bolton attempted to run him over thrice in their vehicle. The victim stated that he struck the windshield of the vehicle with his walking stick in an attempt to avoid being run over.

Bolton then went on to speak with Sergeant Josh Jeffers. According to the report Bolton stated that she and the victim had been arguing and that she did indeed follow him down the road in her vehicle. Bolton claimed she attempted to turn the vehicle around and that is how she ended up in the ditch.

Bolton was determined to be the primary aggressor in the dispute and was taken into custody and transported to the Campbell County Jail. She is charged with Aggravated Assault by Domestic Violence.
