Campbell County added its 22nd death as a result of Covid-19 in today’s release from the Tennessee Department of Health. It was the second death recorded in the last four days for the county. Active cases in Campbell County eased down from 188 to 181 in the last 24 hours.
Seeing a significant drop in active cases was Scott County, where a covid hotspot had developed. The case count there fell from 333 yesterday to 288 today. These appear to be the first wave of recoveries from a spike that happened there beginning approximately two weeks ago.
Claiborne has 119 active cases. A rise of approximately 40 in the last week. Anderson spiked to over 400 a week ago and is maintaining those levels with 414 active cases currently.
Campbell County schools are now out for Thanksgiving break until Monday, November 30th, but Campbell County high school will remain closed next week with students on distance learning.
