Last weekend Corporal Gary Jeffers and Deputy Christina Goodman were doing a followup on a report of drug use near Longmire Road in LaFollette. They pulled onto a lake access road where they spotted a Nissan Pathfinder near the lake. The approacjed and spoke to a female subject, later identified as Jamie Carroll,age 35 of 302 Andersonville Pike in Heiskell. While speaking to Carroll Corporal Jeffers noticed several orange syringe caps laying in plain view inside the Pathfinder.
Carroll consented to allow the Pathfinder to be searched. Corporal Jeffers located a makeup bag. In the bag there was a container with a crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine. There were also a quartet of syringes and a can with what was believed to be burn residue on it.
Carroll was placed under arrest and transported to the county jail. Carroll is charged with for possession of a schedule II controlled substance (meth), possession of drug paraphernalia (2 counts) and a capias/bench warrant.
