Virgil E. Chumley

Mr. Virgil E. Chumley age 74 of Harrogate passed away Monday, February 6, 2012 at North Knoxville Medical Center. He was a member of Gap Creek Baptist Church, a Shriner, and a retired lumberman and truck driver. Preceded in death by parents Otis and Ella Moyers Chumley, brothers, Roscoe and James Robert Chumley.

Survivors: Wife, Beverly Chumley of Harrogate; Children, Eleanor Childress and husband Terry, of Harrogate, Kathy Winn and husband Larry, of Port Huron, MI, and Rhonda Cordonier and husband David, of Colorado Springs, CO; Five Grandchildren; Two Great-grandchildren; Two Brothers, Eugene Chumley of Michigan, and Kelly Wayne Chumley of Harrogate. Several other relatives and friends.

Services Saturday, February 18, 2012, 7 P.M. at Gap Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Burdette officiating. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to: Upward Sports Ministries, c/o Gap Creek Baptist Church, P.O. Box 177, Arthur, TN 37707. Raymond TC Adkins

Raymond TC Adkins, age 52, of Jacksboro passed away on Friday, February 3, 2012. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Cleveland. He was a very loving husband, brother, and best friend. He cherished his wife and family. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and spending time with his wife and family.

He was preceded in death by his father Coy L. Adkins and his mother Thelma V. Adkins.

He is survived by his loving wife Denisa of Jacksboro, sisters Susan Richardson and husband Larry of Franklin, GA, Connie Brostoki of Franklin, GA, Lynn Cannon and husband Leroy of West Palm Beach, FL, Paula Carter of Palm Beach, FL, and Bobbie Carter and husband Billy of West Palm Beach, FL.

A memorial service to celebrate Raymond’s life will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2012 in the Martin Wilson Chapel. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February, 10 2012 in the Powell Valley Cemetery. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Mary Ruth Siler

Mary Ruth Siler, age 77, of Knoxville went to be with our Lord on February 5, 2012.

She was a member of Faith & Hope Baptist Church ofKnoxville. Her favorite hobbies were painting, crossword puzzles, and gardening in her flowers. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother James Calvin & Mabel Daugherty Shown, husband Joseph Andrew Siler, Jr. and son James Calvin Hutchison.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws Vickie & Dewey Loveday, Janice Glover, Nora & Ronnie Lindsay, Susie & Ronnie McGaha, and Tammy & Ronnie Coker, sons and daughter-in-laws Eddie & Carlene Hutchison and Joey & Beth Siler, 24 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren, brother Thomas Shown of Knoxville, several nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in the Martin Wilson Chapel with Pastor Donnie Woods and Rev Gary Swaggerty officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2012 in theIndian Creek Cemetery. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be son-in-laws and grandsons.

Maxine Doepel

Maxine Doepel, age 72, of LaFollette, passed away Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Dean Doepel; her great-grandson, Hunter Dean Doepel Jenkins; one sister & two brothers.

She is survived by her sons
Larry Doepel & his wife, Edie
Tim Doepel and his wife Doris, all of LaFollette

6 grandchildren: Diana Warren, Daniel Doepel and wife, Courtney, Brandon Allen, Bailey and Blaine Doepel, all of LaFollette, and Eric Doepel of Johnson City
4 great-grandchildren, Keenan, Kristina, Kye & Kassidi, all of LaFollette

Sisters: Dorthea and Pauline, both of Dayton, Ohio and a host of family and friends, too numerous to mention.

A graveside service for family and friends will be held Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Powell Valley Cemetery.

Mary Babb, age 91 of LaFollette, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012. She was a member of Forks Grove Baptist Church. Preceded in death by Parents Thomas Elmer & Ethel Dossett Babb, Sister Opal Poston & Brothers James Elmer Babb & 2 Infants.
