Helen A. Douglas

Mrs. Helen A. Douglas age 86 of LaFollette passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at LaFollette Health & Rehab Center. She was a Christian from an early age. Preceded in death by husband, J. L. Douglas, parents, John and Jane Ayers Vaughn.

Survivors: Daughter, Jean McCullah and husband, Roger ; son, Randy Douglas and wife, Teresa; granddaughter, Lindsay Douglas all of LaFollette. Several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Thursday 8 P.M. at Walters Chapel with Rev. Alan Ragan officiating. Family and friends will meet Friday at 10 A.M. and go in procession to Davis Cemetery for graveside services and interment. Dorothy Morton Hall

Dorothy Morton Hall, age 86 of Knoxville, formerly of LaFollette passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012. Preceded in death by parents, Dewey & Ethel Grant Morton; brothers, James and Glen Morton.

Interment was held at Bakers Forge Cemetery

Mildred Helen Ellison

Mildred Helen Ellison, age 92, of New Boston, MI passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2012. She was a very loving Christian mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family & friends. She was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother Lewis & Rosa Broyles, husband Duard William Ellison, sons Michael & Douglas Ellison, brother Ernest Broyles, and sisters Mable White, Gladys Weaver, Ruth Weaver, Esther Powell, & Gertrude Berry.

She is survived by her son Danny Ellison and wife Dorothy of Jacksboro, daughters Carol Overbey & husband Lewis of Knoxville and DeAnna Dagley & husband Ronnie of Michigan, daughters-in-law Debra Ellison and Sue Ellison, sister Wilma Salyers of Maynardville, 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2012 in the Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev Ronnie Arnold and Rev Randall Heatherly officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2012 in theMt. Paran Cemetery. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Dr. Edward P. Suchard

Dr. Edward P. Suchard passed away peacefully on January 11, 2012 at the age of 95 in Saco, Maine. Ed was born in Easthampton, Massachusetts on September 23, 1916. He studied Orthodontics and Oral Surgery at Case Western Reserve in Ohio. After receiving a degree in Oral Surgery, he served his country as an Army Captain during the Korean War at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, DC. Following the war, he established an orthodontics practice in Akron, Ohio. For the many years of his successful practice, he lived in a beautiful home in Peninsula, Ohio with his wife Dee, whom he met and married in 1963. In the 1970’s, Ed retired to Hilton Head, SC and later moved to Columbia, SC where in 1995 his wife passed away. In 2009, he moved to Cape Elizabeth, Maine to be near his nephew Karl. Ed was known for his sharp wit and sense of humor. He was a gentleman from the old school. He was an avid golfer, car collector and yachtsman. Ed had no children and is survived by his nephews Karl of Portland, Maine and Peter of Oakland, California.

Brenda Gail Branam Blades Byrge

Mrs. Brenda Gail Branam Blades Byrge age 63 of Jacksboro passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 at her home. She was a member of the Nurses Association of Tennessee, and of the Baptist Faith. Preceded in death by parents, Lewis and Ava Bruce Branam, and brother, Gary Branam.

Survivors: Husband, David Byrge of Jacksboro; Son, Jeff Blades of Maryville, TN; Daughters, April Reed of Jacksboro, and Jenifer West of Jacksboro; Several grandchildren; Sisters, Sue Walker of Jacksboro, Jevonna Welch of Speedwell; Brother, David Branam of LaFollette; Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She will be missed dearly by all of her family and friends.

The family will receive friends Monday from 5 to 7 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel, with a Memorial Service to follow at 7 P.M. Friends may call at their convenience after 10 A.M. on Monday. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to: Campbell County Cancer Association, P.O. Box 122, Jacksboro, TN 37757.
