Jessie Sallie Heatherly

Mrs. Jessie Sallie Heatherly, age 75, of Dalton, Georgia, formerly of LaFollette passed away July 9, 2011 at the Hospice Care Center of Chattanooga, surrounded by her loving family. Sallie was born January 10, 1936 in Union County, Tn., a daughter of the late Laska L. and Liza Clouse Farris. She was also preceded in death by her husband of forty-six years, Robert Heatherly on December 9, 1997; grandson, Ricky Wayne Heatherly; brothers, Glenn and Tom Farris; sisters, Azalee Meredith and Ruth Hutson.

Sons & daughters-in-law: Jeff and Janet Heatherly, Cohutta, Ga.

R. Wayne and Marcy Heatherly, Chatsworth, Ga.

 

Grandchildren: Trish and Phil Hooper, Brandy Heatherly, Wayne Heatherly Jr.

Charline Bunch, age 66, of Jacksboro, passed away Friday, July 8, 2011 at her home. She was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Caryville. Preceded in death by Husband Menton Bunch, Parents Charlie & Tressie Vinsant Thompson, Sister Shirley Thompson.

Cora Thompson Rogers of LaFollette, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011 at St. Mary’s Health & Rehab Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church LaFollette and attended LaFollette United Methodist Church for many years. She owned and operated Western Auto Store in LaFollette for 40 years. Preceded in death by First Husband W.C. (Bill) Thompson, Son Rusty Thompson Parents Frank & Mary Helfrick 5 Sisters & 4 Brothers.

Ralph L. Jeffers

Ralph L. Jeffers age 78 of LaFollette, TN passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2011. He was born on December 9, 1932. He was a Korean Veteran, teacher, and was retired from Oak Ridge National Laboratory where he served as a Health Physicist Supervisor for 29 years. He was Post Master of Stooksbury Masonic Lodge #602. He attended church at Cumberland Hope Community Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents John R. and Lyda Jeffers and his father and mother-in-law Clarence and Cecil Rector.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Joan Rector Jeffers, son and daughter-in-law Scott and Carla Jeffers, grandson and granddaughter-in-law Joshua and Dana Jeffers, brother and sister-in-law Kermit and Wilma Jean Jeffers, brother-in-law and wife Bill and Vicki Rector, nephews, nieces, family and friends, as well as his friends at Cumberland Village where he has been living.

Masonic service will be at 7:45 p.m. followed by Funeral service on Thursday, July 7, 2011 in the Martin-Wilson chapel with Rev Billy Smith officiating. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2011 at Woodlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Donations may be made to Cumberland Hope Community Church parking lot fund.

Mattie Heatherly

Mattie Heatherly age 79 of Lafollette passed away June 29, 2011 at St. Mary’s Campbell County. Mattie was a very loving wife of 59 years, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed sewing and spending time taking care of her family.

Preceded in death by Parents: Lee and Marie Claxton Stagnolia

Survived by: Husband: Ira Heatherly of Lafollette, Son: Ira (Micky) and wife Greer Heatherly of Sweetwater, TN. Daughter: Katie and husband Jim Turner of Jacksboro. Brothers: Steve and wife Jackie Stagnolia of Heiskell, TN, Stan and wife Vickie Stagnolia of Lake City, Tn. Sister: Essie Kitts of Lafollette. Grandchildren: Adam and Aaron Heatherly, Paula and Joe Madron and Matthew and Missy Turner. Great-grandchildren: Jacob, Mitchell, Myranda and Colton and many loving nieces and nephews and friends.

There will be a gathering of family and close friends Friday July 1st, 2011 from 6 PM to 7 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Smith officiating. The family has asked in lieu of flowers please make donations to The Campbell County Cancer Association 124 Woodvine St. Jacksboro, TN. In care of Clarence Lowe.
