William Leo Green

William Leo Green passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2011. He was born on February 5, 1939. He was a very loving husband of 51 years, father, and grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family, loved working in his yard and garden, and watching his favorite sports.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother Everett and Vina Potter Green, wife Mary Sue Green, and brothers James Green and Charles “Pete” Green.

He is survived by his son William E. Green and wife Nancy of Michigan, brother Ottis Green and wife Vivian of Michigan, and grandchildren Michelle Green and David Green and fiancé Hannah Church all of Michigan.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Martin Wilson chapel with Rev Ken Weaver officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Powell Valley Cemetery with the Campbell County Honor Guard presenting military honors. Family will receive friends on Friday, August 12, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Martin Wilson chapel. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.

James C. Bruce

James C. Bruce, age 93, of Jacksboro passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at St. Mary’s Campbell Co. He supplied timber for Blue Diamond Coal Co. five years, retired from Koppers Land Co., and currently of Royal Blue Wildlife Management Area. A member of Masonic Lodge No. 778 for fifty plus years and long time member of LaFollette Church of God. He was a loving husband, father, and friend to many. He will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by, daughter, Kathleen Jackson; grandson, Gary Jackson.

Tommy Lynch, age 72, of Florala, Alabama, formerly of LaFollette & Michigan, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011. He was retired from A& P Grocery Stores. Preceded in death by Parents Carter & Edna Gray Lynch and Brother-in-law Dan Wells.

Terry Wayne Russell

Terry Wayne Russell, age 41, of Jacksboro passed away Friday August 5, 2011. He was a member of Guiding Star Baptist Church in Lake City. Mr. Russell loved fishing, hunting, baseball, basketball, football and spending time with his family.

Preceded in death by Infant daughter, Terrie Russell. Brother, David Russell. Grandparents, Sylvester and Maebell Russell, Grandfather, Hugh Walden.

Survived by Parents: Foster Clifford and Shirley Faye Walden Russell of Jacksboro. Daughters: Tiffany Russell and Kadie Russell of Jacksboro and Kayla Greene of Knoxville. Son: Terry Clifford (T C) Russell of Jacksboro. Stepsons: Derek and Taylor Nelson of Jacksboro. Fiancee’ Sabrina Nelson of Jacksboro. Sister: Angela Wilson and husband Alford of LaFollette. Funeral service will be 2 PM Tuesday August 9, 2011 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Doug Walden and Rev. Johnny Rains officiating. Interment will following in Powell Valley Cemetery and Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Monday August 8 in Martin Wilson Chapel.
