Shawn M. Roderick

Shawn M. Roderick age 52 of LaFollette passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at LaFollette Medical Center. He was of the Catholic Faith and a former Delivery Truck Driver.

Survivors: Son, Ryan Roderick, and Daughter, Taylor Roderick, both of LaFollette; Mother, Audrey Collins of Minot, ND; Sister, Rochelle Van Ryn of Overland Park, KS; Brother, Steven Roderick of Chattanooga, TN; Mother of the Children, Tina Morton of LaFollette.

Fannie McKamey Jones

Fannie McKamey Jones, age 86, of Caryville went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, October 26, 2011.

Member ofBeechForkBaptistChurch.  She enjoyed going to church, gardening, canning, quilting and visits from family, friends, and neighbors.

Preceded in death by husband, Elmer Jones; parents, Abe and Susie McKamey; sisters, Mindy McKamey, Tennie Burress, Alice Wilson, Tasie Bullock, Senda Green and Tilda McKamey; brothers, Link, Jesse, Delis and Lonzo McKamey; stepson, Wilbert Jones.

Benny Lane Murray

Benny Lane Murray , age 88, of Maryville, formerly of LaFollette passed away Friday, October 21, 2011. A former member of First Baptist Church of LaFollette, but attended First Baptist Church of Maryville. A retired Teacher and Supervisor of Special Education after 30 plus years in the Campbell County School System.

Preceded in death by husband, Edward C. Murray, Sr.; son, Mark L. Murray; sister, Vivian Lane Harrison.

Son: Edward C. Murray, Jr. & wife Sookie, Powder Springs, Ga.

Mrs. Dorothy M. Atherton age 87 of Caryville , TN , passed away Friday, October 21, 2011, at Physicians Regional Medical Center in Knoxville . Preceded in death by husband, Noel Pierce Atherton, son, Noel Howard Atherton, parents, Guy Price and Esther Hartman Price, brothers, Billy and Frank Price.

Survivors: Sons, Billy Atherton and wife, Debra of West Milton, OH, Donald Atherton and wife, Marilyn of Live Oak, FL, Gregory Lee Atherton of Xenia, OH, and Michael Atherton of Caryville, TN; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Price of Perrysburg, OH. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Atherton will be transported to Ohio for visitation on Wednesday from 5 to 7 P.M. at the Morton and Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 South Dixie, Vandalia , OH . John R. W. Brown

Mr. John R. W. Brown, age 87 of LaFollette passed away Friday, October 21, 2011, at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. He operated the State Farm Insurance Agency in LaFollette for 51 years, former Basketball Coach of LaFollette Owls, a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University, he had a Masters Degree from U. T., member of the LaFollette United Methodist Church, Campbell County Rotary Club, Campbell County Lions Club, member of Campbell County Masonic Lodge, #778 F. & A.M., Campbell County Shrine Club, and Knoxville Kerbela Temple. A Veteran of the U. S. Army. Mr. Brown was an avid fan of the Campbell County Cougars Athletic Program. The Campbell County Comprehensive High School Gymnasium was named the John R. W. Brown Gymnasium in his honor. Preceded in death by his parents, Woodson and Mary Reynolds Brown, sisters, Mattie Ahler and Mayme Brown, and brother, Thomas M. Brown.

Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Jean Brown of LaFollette; sons, Tony Brown and wife, Terina, and Tim Brown all of LaFollette; daughter, Connie Brown Prickett and husband, Wayne of Raleigh, NC; two grandchildren, Sam Prickett and Aaron Prickett, both of Raleigh, NC. Several other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services Sunday 8 P.M. at LaFollette United Methodist Church with Dr. Kenneth Faught and Rev. Lynn Ray officiating. Graveside services and interment Monday 11 A.M. at Campbell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday before services at the church. Pallbearers, Rick Hunley, Tony Olson, Bill Evans, Robby Heatherly, David Dossett, and Jeff Hoskins. Honorary Pallbearers, Albert Bacon, Ben Rogers, Frank Dossett, and Poe Bostic.
