Terry Wayne Russell

Terry Wayne Russell, age 41, of Jacksboro passed away Friday August 5, 2011. He was a member of Guiding Star Baptist Church in Lake City. Mr. Russell loved fishing, hunting, baseball, basketball, football and spending time with his family.

Preceded in death by Infant daughter, Terrie Russell. Brother, David Russell. Grandparents, Sylvester and Maebell Russell, Grandfather, Hugh Walden.

Survived by Parents: Foster Clifford and Shirley Faye Walden Russell of Jacksboro. Daughters: Tiffany Russell and Kadie Russell of Jacksboro and Kayla Greene of Knoxville. Son: Terry Clifford (T C) Russell of Jacksboro. Stepsons: Derek and Taylor Nelson of Jacksboro. Fiancee’ Sabrina Nelson of Jacksboro. Sister: Angela Wilson and husband Alford of LaFollette. Niece: Whitney Wilson and nephew, Jacob Wilson of LaFollette. Grandmother, Elizabeth Walden of Jacksboro. Special aunt San San Chapman and uncle Howard Chapman of Jacksboro. A host of other uncles, aunts, family and friends.

Funeral service will be 2 PM Tuesday August 9, 2011 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Doug Walden and Rev. Johnny Rains officiating. Interment will following in Powell Valley Cemetery and Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Monday August 8 in Martin Wilson Chapel.

Richard A. Dolin

Richard A. Dolin passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011. He was born on January 30, 1947. He was a very loving husband of 39 years as well as a loving and supportive father and grandfather that also enjoyed spending time with his family, outdoor boating, fishing, and supervising all the outdoor activities. Richard was proud to serve his country as a marine during the Vietnam Era.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother Caleb and Mima Dolin, and brothers James, William, and Jackie Dolin.

He is survived by his wife Gail Dolin, sons Kevin Dolin and wife Brandy of Caryville, Brian Dolin and wife Keri of Rockwood, and Dakota Dolin of Caryville, sisters Linda Dieone and husband Dam of LaFollette and Connie Dolin of Caryville, and grandson Matthew Dolin.

Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2011 in the Martin Wilson chapel with Rev Michael Pressnell officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Campbell Memorial Gardens with the Campbell County Honor Guard presenting military honors.

Mildred York Duncan

Mildred York Duncan (Shoopman) passed away on August 2, 2011. She was born on July 16, 1924 in Smokey Junction, TN. She was a very loving and dedicated mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother that enjoyed spending time with her family and working outside with her flowers.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother William and Florence Cross York, first husband Convie Duncan, second husband Elsic Shoopman, son Roger Duncan, and infant sons Billy Duncan and Fuston Duncan.

She is survived by her sons Murrel Duncan and wife Molly, Jerry Duncan and wife Teresa both of Aiken, SC, Justin Dale Shoopman of Corbin, KY, and Johnny and wife Linda Shoopman of Jellico, TN, daughters Sharon Sutton and Annette Owens and husband Donnie both of Jacksboro, sister Lillian Seagraves of IL, 19 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2011 in the Martin Wilson chapel with Rev Larry Sexton and Rev Hilton Duncan officiating. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2011 in the Bakers Forge Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric Duncan, Jimmy Shoopman, Brian Duncan, Dale Shoopman, Johnny Shoopman, Dustin Shoopman, Justin Shoopman, and Jeremy Shoopman.

Linda J. Adkins

Linda J. Adkins “Na-Na” passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center in Knoxville. She was born on July 30, 1956. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, and sister who enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to fish and spend time on the lake.

She is preceded in death by her father Willie Adkins.

She is survived by her mother Anna Mae Adkins, daughter Jamie Lynn Claiborne and husband Ray of Jacksboro, brothers Danny Adkins and wife Lee Ann and Benny Adkins both of Jacksboro, sister Tammy Branam and husband Mark of LaFollette, and grandson Kaleb Sammons, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2011 in the Martin Wilson chapel with Rev Charlie Wilson, Rev Mark Branam, and Rev Donald Shoun officiating. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2011 in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

Bill Pennington age 56, of LaFollette, passed away Monday, August 1, 2011. He was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by father Monroe Pennington, mother Rosie Miller Pennington & brother James Pennington.
