Ruby Childs Branam age 77 of Cookeville formerly of Cookeville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011. She was a member of New Beginning Assembly of God.
Preceded in death by parents Lee & Goldie Weaver Childs, brothers: Eugene (Red), Henry & J.C. Childs and sister Maxine Childs.

Mr William F. (Billy Bob) Ross age 54 of LaFollette passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011 at his home. He was a member of LaFollette Church of Christ.

Survivors: Special Friend, Marion Blair of LaFollette, and his church family at LaFollette Church of Christ.

Funeral Services Tuesday 7 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Jim Wesson officiating. Friends will meet Wednesday at 9:30 A.M at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Longmire Cemetery for graveside services and interment. Visitation: Tuesday from 6 to 7 P.M. before services at Walters Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to LaFollette Church of Christ in his memory. Foster M. White age 101, of LaFollette, passed away Friday, September 23, 2011 at his home. He was the oldest living member of Davis Chapel Community Baptist Church. Preceded in death by wife Asilee Dossett White, daughter Doris & infant daughter, Parents Alf & Louisa Berry White, Sister Ora Bell Miller, Brothers Clarence “Pete” & Walter White.

Paul Peterson, age 84, of Jacksboro passed away Wednesday, Spetember 21, 2011
at Mercy Residential Hospice in Halls. Member of Central Baptist Church in Caryville and 50 year member of Caryville Masonic Lodge No. 665 F&AM . Retired from Martin Marietta in Oak Ridge after 35 years of service. A veteran of WWII, US Army Air Corps, Korean War, and US Navy.
Preceded in death by parents, Leo & Ottie Jones Peterson; twin sister, Pauline Wilson; sisters, Helen Stanley & Reba Tompkins; brother, Billy Peterson.

Tom Thompson Jr

Tom Thompson Jr. age 81 of Jacksboro passed away September 11, 2011 at the Methodist Medical Center. Tom enjoyed fishing, gardening and raising tomatoes and his family was his life.

Preceded in death by Parents: Thomas Bush and Elizabeth Dowell Thompson Sr. Granddaughter: Kristen Huckaby. Sister: Mildred Hatfield. Brother: Tyler and Jim Thompson.

Survived by Sons: Tommy Ray and wife Sharon Thompson of LaFollette and Gary Wayne Thompson both of Jacksboro. Daughters: Linda Kay and husband Ray Leamon of Knoxville. Sharon Ann McDonald of Benton City, Washington and Kimberly Gail Thompson of Lafollette. Sisters: Lucille Bean of Lafollette and Ruby Sharp of Smyrna, GA. 8 Grandchildren and 2 Great Granddaughters. Several nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 8 PM Tuesday September 13th, 2011 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Passmore officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM before the funeral service. Interment will be on Wednesday September 14th, 2011 at 10 AM in Campbell Memorial Gardens.
