Jack Evans

Jack Evans, age 70, of Caryville passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2012. He was a very loving husband of 49 years, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family, especially around the Holidays. He was a member of LakeView Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father Dewey Evans, mother Emma Parker Wells, and brothers Ralph Weldon Evans, Dewey Evans Jr., and Cameron Evans.

He is survived by his wife Zane Ann Evans of Caryville, daughters Teresa Evans Woodward and husband Rick of Jacksboro, Jacqueline Evans Williams and husband Andy of Clinton, and Erica Evette Evans of Caryville, brothers Wayne Evans and wife Elizabeth of Caryville and David Evans and wife Fonzie of Jacksboro, sister Dewetta Raye and husband James of South Carolina, grandchildren Brandon Carroll of LaFollette, Ashton Woodward Jones of Hampton, VA, and Tristen & Trent Goodman of Caryville, and 2 great-grandchildren Jaiden Jones of Hampton, VA and Jaxton Carroll of LaFollette.

Howard “Auss” Miller

Howard “Auss” Miller was born in 1932 in LaFollette, TNand passed away January 19, 2012 in Zachery, Louisiana. He was the son of the late Lloyd and Cleo Miller of LaFollette.

Howard retied “With Honors” from the Army as Command Sergeant Major. He also retired as an Official with the U.S. Government.

Howard leaves his loving wife, Evonne, and his children Sandy, Randy, Nancy, Tim, Mike, Marty, Larry, & Linda. He also leaves several grandchildren.

Other family members include brothers L.C., Donald, Marvin, Lyndol, Dennis, Sammy, & Gary, sisters Amy, Aileen, Mary, Vera, & Marcella (deceased), as well as several nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be held in Zachery, LA. Several family members and friends will attend.

Barbara Sue McKamey Terry, age 68, of Caryville passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012. Member of Lake View Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Charles Morgan Terry; parents, Mike & Mary Hembree McKamey; brothers, James Henry & Tommy McKamey; father & mother in-law, Leonard & Della Massengill Terry; brother-in-law, Donald Ray Terry.

Tidwell Jeffers

Tidwell Jeffers, age 87, of LaFollette, TN passed away on Friday, January 20, 2012. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also loved spending time in the mountains hunting with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father Silas Jeffers, mother Florence Ettie Tidwell, wife Minnie Jeffers, son Bobby Ray Jeffers, brothers Silas Jeffers Jr., Costello Jeffers, Venice Anderson, and Silas Simon, sisters Evelene Jeffers, Lennie Jeffers, Lettie Jeffers, Mary Anderson, Martha Wilson, and Peggy Chapman.

He is survived by his son Jimmy Wayne Jeffers of LaFollette, daughters Betty Sue Prater & husband Robert of Knoxville and Judy Ann Alexander & husband John of Bluff City, TN, brother Leo Jeffers of LaFollette, sisters Irene Suttles of Sevierville, Glenice Muse of Jacksboro, Gladys Anderson of LaFollette, and Oma Jones of LaFollette, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2012 in the Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev James Adkins officiating. Interment will be at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2012 in the Mill Branch Cemetery in ScottCounty. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
