Naomi Widener

Mrs. Naomi Widener age 85 of LaFollette passed away Friday, September 16, 2011, at St. Mary’s Medical Center of Campbell County. She was retired from Imperial Reading Corporation after 33 years of service and former member and past president of LaFollette Rescue Squad Crewettes. She enjoyed going to the lake and houseboat with her husband, enjoyed traveling and had visited 48 states, loved bingo, and spending time with her family. Preceded in death by husband, Gaylor “Chalk” Widener, son, Ronnie Widener, daughters, Peggy Jo Widener and Libby Goins, parents, Julius and Nannie Canady Ball, and sister, Christine Widener.

Survivors: Daughter, Christine Paul and husband, Carl of LaFollette; sons, Jack Widener and wife, Marie of Duff and Bill Widener and wife, Patsy of Jacksboro; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sister, Carrie Lee Bryant of Jellico. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services Sunday 8 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hobert McCreary officiating. Graveside services and interment Monday 11 A.M. at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 P.M. before funeral services at Walters Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P. O. Alice Marie Asbury, age 66, of Jacksboro passed away Thursday, September 15, 2011 at St. Mary’s Campbell County. Preceded in death by mother, Helen June Woods Boshears. Member of Macedonia Baptist Church, DAR & Daughter of 1812

Charles “Joe” Brandenburg

Charles “Joe” Brandenburg, age 62, of LaFollette passed away September 11, 2011 at his home. He was a member of High Knob Baptist Church and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents Authur & Helen Brandenburg and infant sister Shirley Brandenburg.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Deborah Brandenburg of LaFollette, sons Eric and Paul of LaFollette, Sandy and Maverick of Crossville, Bobby of Johnson City, son and daughter-in-law Joey & Rikki of Lenoir City, daughters Pascah of LaFollette, Deborah Sanford & Hannah Sartin of Knoxville, daughters and sons-in-law Maranatha & Daniel Nelson of LaFollette, Jerihlyn & Ralph Marcum of Jacksboro, Terra & Dustin Figueroa of Chattanooga, brother and sister-in-law Jerry & Karen Brandenburg of Greenville, sister and brother-in-law Shelia & Matt Galloway of Knoxville, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. in the Martin Wilson chapel with Phil Rutherford and Rev Paul Hembree officiating. Interment will be on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bakers Forge Cemetery. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Martin Wilson chapel.

Everett W. Miller age 85 of LaFollette, passed away Friday Sept. 9, 2011. He was a member of Demory Baptist Church and US WWII veteran, former owner of Whitman Hollow Boat Dock and retired from Furtex. Preceded in death by Parents
