Reva Joyce Allen Hamblin

Reva Joyce Allen Hamblin of LaFollette passed away on Monday, September 5, 2011. She enjoyed sewing, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she loved her friends and family very much.

She was preceded in death by her father John Allen, son Jeffery Moss Hamblin, and Brother Kennith Allen, great-grandson Trey McCreary.

She is survived by her mother Lucille Allen of Clairfield, daughter Melissa Lay and husband Clarence of Clinton, brothers Billy Ray Allen of LaFollette and Kyle Allen of Clairfield, sister Pam Jefferies of LaFollette, 2 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Powell Valley Cemetery with Rev George Asbury officiating. Interment will follow.

Robert “Bob” Sharp

Robert “Bob” Sharp of Farragut, formerly of LaFollette, passed away on Saturday, September 3rd, 2011. He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 8781. He was preceded in death by parents, Robert Estes Sharp, Sr., and Jewell Sharp, and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Roux Sharp; daughter, LeEllen Green, and husband Darrell; grandchildren, Bobby Green, Laura Green Bruce and husband Josh; and great-grandson, Keegan Bruce; sisters, Sherry Bull of Virginia and Mary Dee Bruce of LaFollette; five brothers-in-law; aunts, cousins, niece, and nephews; four stepchildren and their spouses and their 14 children. Mr. Sharp was an educator with the Campbell County school system for 36 years. He will be remembered for his caring nature, his sense of humor, and his hearty laughter. Bob was an avid fisherman who could always find the best fishing holes. There will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Farragut on Saturday, September 10, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. John Neumann Catholic Church Fellowship Pavilion building fund, 645 St. John Court, Farragut, TN, 37934. This would be such a fitting gift in Robert’s memory as fellowship was very important to him throughout his lifetime. Roger Wayne Goins, age 59, of LaFollette passed away Thursday, September 1, 2011. He was of Baptist faith. A proud member of NRA and Truck driver 30 years for Hatmaker Trucking. Preceded in death by parents, Delone & Estella Tootsie Ford Goins.

Kenneth Ward, age 80, of LaFollette passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at his home. A US Air Force veteran and retired from General Motors after 30 years. Preceded in death by parents, Lewis & Martha Witt Ward; sister, Iris Lee; brother, Dallas Ward.

Marie Annette Moore, age 79 of Caryville, formerly of Speedwell passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011 at her home. She was a member of Well Springs Church of God.
