Mr. Charles Ray Green age 71 of LaFollette passed away Monday, August 26, 2019. He was preceded in death by Parents, Dewey Green and Opal Wells Green; Brothers, Lonnie Green and Larry Green.

Survivors: Brothers, Ronnie Green and Donnie Green. Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, other relatives and friends.

Danny Hershal Goins

Danny Hershal Goins, age 64 of LaFollette passed away Sunday, August 25, 2019.

He is preceded in death by father Clifton “Kink” Goins, mother Margaret (Ellison) Goins, brothers Kenneth, Ronald, Cecil, and Charles Milton “Buddy” Goins, sisters Dallis Nelson, Patsy Lou, and Becky Meade.

He is survived by daughters Amanda Goins Covington & husband Randall of Texas, Cinda Marie Goins, Elisha Star Goins, Margaret Leann Goins, all of Georgia, and son Timothy Shane Goins of Florida. Sisters Anna Mae Russell of LaFollette, Mary Nelson & husband David of Lenoir City, 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, a host of nieces, and nephews.

There will a graveside service for Danny, 12 PM Friday, August 30, 2019 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lenoir City.

Melissa Renee Hughett McCoy

Melissa Renee Hughett McCoy, 53, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on June 5, 2019, after a lengthy illness. Melissa enjoyed her family, crafts, and writing. Preceded in death by her brother Paul D. Hughett, Jr. and her sister, Melanie Elaine Hughett.

Surviving Melissa are her loving parents, Paul D. Hughett, a native of Caryville, and Louise Dupree Hughett and special friend, Kevin Coyne, all of Jacksonville, Florida
A Celebration of Life was held at the Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring in Jacksonville
on July 27, 2019.

Graveside Service & Interment 2:00 PM Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Evans Cemetery in Jacksboro, TN with Dr. David Rayburn (uncle of the deceased) officiating.

Edna Marie (Overbay) Bunch

Edna Marie (Overbay) Bunch, age 88 of Jacksboro went home to be with her Lord and Savior, while surrounded by her family Sunday, August 25, 2019. She was a member of Habersham Baptist Church for 43 years and she loved her church family very much. Edna enjoyed cooking, gardening, feeding everyone that came by to visit, and spending time with her sisters.

She is preceded in death by husband Rev. R.H. “Bob” Bunch, son Gary Bunch, parents Ben and Mary (Pike) Overbay, granddaughter Shannon Evans Cyre, brother James Overbay, sisters Bertie Allen, Josie Walp, and Sue Allen.

She is survived by daughters Joan Parks & husband Jim of Jacksboro, Robin Evans & husband Marvin of Jacksboro, Cindy Ward & husband Wayne of Jacksboro, brothers Bobby Overbay of LaFollette, Fred Overbay of Caryville, sisters Billy Nance of Jacksboro, Ella Wells of LaFollette, Judy Bullock of Jacksboro, 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday, August 27, 2019 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 8 PM with Rev. Jeff Bullock officiating. Friends and family will meet 10:15 AM Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in procession to Harness cemetery for 11 AM interment.

William Young Roddy

William Young Roddy, Sr., age 77 of Caryville passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2019. He was a United States Army Veteran, and a retired construction worker. William loved fishing, hunting, and watching baseball.

He is preceded in death by parents Luther and Reba Roddy, sisters Dorothy Young and Kathleen Roddy, brothers Ed and Johnny Roddy, son-in-law Mike Sampsel.

He is survived by wife of 55 years, “Sally” Sue Roddy, children Belinda (Sampsel) Daugherty & husband Charles, Billy Roddy & wife Regina (Phillips) Roddy,

Luther Roddy & wife Jennifer (Lascola) Roddy. 12 grandkids, 7 great grandkids, sisters Martha Rucker of LaFollette, and Jackie Roddy of Knoxville, several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Family will receive friends Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 10 AM – 12 PM followed by funeral service at 12 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. George Asbury officiating. Inurnment will follow at Powell Valley Cemetery with military honors provided by Campbell County Honor Guard.
