Jasper Carroll, age 86, of LaFollette passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Member of High Street Baptist Church and a retired coal miner. Preceded in death by parents, Sampson & Emily Jones Carroll; son, Ronnie Carroll; brothers, Ruby & Verely Carroll; sisters, Ethel Daugherty, Elsie Brummit; grandson, Bryson Carroll.

Wilma Williams

Wilma Williams “Jean”, at 81, of Powell, TN passed away in her home on October 12, 2011. She was a lifetime member of Oak Ridge Eastern Star as well as a member of Beaver Creek Presbyterian Church.

She is preceded in death by husband Paul F. Williams, sons Dannie and Jimmy Williams, grandson Paul Morgan, and great-grandson Matthew May.

She is survived by her son Johnnie and Pat Williams, daughters Patricia & Jimmy Clark, Barbara & Naren Ramachandran, and Donna & Michael Lab, 11 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson, and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2011 in the Martin Wilson Chapel with Dr Thomas Sweet and Rev Fran Vickers officiating. Interment will be at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2011 in the Campbell Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Curtis B. Meredith

Mr. Curtis B. Meredith age 90 of LaFollette passed away Thursday, October 13, 2011 at his home. He was a proud veteran of World War II, a member of Trinity Baptist Church, a generous, caring, and loving father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved listening to Rev. Don Allen’s broadcast on WLAF Radio. Preceded in death by wife, Azalee Meredith, parents, Arlie and Louisa Baird Meredith, brothers, James and Charles Meredith, sister, Mildred (Dot) Steakley.

Survivors: Two Daughters, Norene Rice of LaFollette, and Tammy Webb of Clinton; Special Niece, Linda Johnson of LaFollette; Four Grandchildren, Bryan Kitts, Robyn Bilyeu, Jessica Webb, and Gracie Webb; Two Great-Grandchildren, Austin Kitts and Samantha Kitts; Two Sisters, Louise Cooper, and Muriel Holbrook, both of Dayton, OH; Special Friend, Marie Watts. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services Sunday 8 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald Allen and Rev. Jimmy Herron officiating. Family and friends will meet Monday 10:30 A.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery for graveside service and interment with Military Honors conducted by the Campbell County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday before services at Walters Funeral Home. Patricia A. Coker

Patricia A. Coker, age 59, of LaFollette passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. She was a very loving mother and grandmother that enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved working in her garden and flowers, but mostly enjoyed spending time with her grandbabies.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother Kenneth & Nola Queener Cordell, husband Wayne C. Coker, and sister Fayreen Cordell.

She is survived by special friend Henry Watkins, son Brandon Wayne Coker and wife Rachel of LaFollette, daughter Crystal R. Watkins and husband Ronald of LaFollette, sisters Barbara Cordell Carroll and husband Wayne of LaFollette and Martha Byrd and husband Gary of Georgia, and grandchildren Randy Longmire, Nicholas Coker, and Nevaeh Grace Longmire.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2011.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help with the arrangements.
