Larry Kay McGinness, age 68, of LaFollette passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. He was the ultimate jack-of-all trades who could fix anything. He enjoyed fishing, playing with his grandchildren, and was a very devoted family man.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother Ivan Victor and Marie Hicks McGinness, son Larry Wayne McGinness, and sisters Sheila Reynolds, Cathy McGinness, and Judith McGinness.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie McGinness of LaFollette, daughters Susan Cook and husband Theodore and Vickie Egan and husband Robert all of Indiana, brothers Jerry McGinness and James “Brad” McGinness both of Indiana, sister Irma Thomson of Florida, 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces & nephews, a host of other relatives and friends, and special friends Orville Hoskins and Don & Vikki Pointer of Indiana.
Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2011 in the Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev George Asbury officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2011 in the Bakers Forge Cemetery. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
