Edna Ruth Wilson age 74 of Jacksboro passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. She was born on June 11, 1937. She enjoyed gardening, working in her flower garden, chasing her grandchildren, singing, and watching birds. She loved her family and her dogs very much.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother Walter Gunter and Johnny Mae Harriman and husband Wilborne “Cotton” Wilson.

She is survived by her sons J.R. Wilson and wife Debbie Nelson of LaFollette and Howard Wilson and wife Gaye of Jacksboro, daughters Pam Wilson and Buster Wilburn of Jacksboro and Jenny Madison and husband Dewey of Caryville, brother Robert Gunter and wife Kristie of Ohio, sister Dorothy Haddix of Ohio, 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. on Friday July 29, 2011 in the Martin Wilson chapel with Rev. Kenny Allen officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday July 30, 2011 at Powell Valley Cemetery.

Emmitte Wilson age 75 of Jacksboro passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2011. He was born on November 15, 1935. He was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and working as long as he was able.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother Luther and Mayme Wilson.

He is survived by his wife Anna Wilson, sons Paul, Michael, and David Wilson all from Massachusetts, daughter Jennifer Ann Hicks and husband Chad from Jacksboro, TN, brothers Jack Wilson and wife Deloris of Grantsboro, TN and Bobby Joe Wilson and wife Barbara of Demory, TN, sister Hazel Roberts of Grantsboro, TN, and granddaughter Hollie Delaine Wilson.

Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday July 28, 2011 in the Martin Wilson chapel with Rev. Vernon Heatherly officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Bill Dial age 80 of LaFollette passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at St. Mary’s Medical Center of Campbell County. He was a retired postal carrier, veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a member of American Legion and National Rural Letter Carriers Union. Preceded in death by parents, William Harrison Dial and Maggie Turner Dial.

Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Elizabeth A. Dial of LaFollette; Daughters, Donna Heaton of Knoxville, Deneal Branch of Knoxville, Teresa Dial Martin of LaFollette, Kelly Kitts of LaFollette, and Tommie Ogg of LaFollette; Sons, Daryl Dial of Knoxville and Billy Dial of Escondido, CA; 15 Grandchildren, 24 Great-grandchildren; Sisters, Margaret Dial and Martha Witt, both of LaFollette. Several other relatives and friends. The family would like to express sincere appreciation to St. Mary’s Medical Center of Campbell County for their exceptional care and love shown to Bill and his family during his illness.

Mrs. Mary Gibson age 82 of LaFollette went home to be the Lord on Friday, July 22, 2011, at St. Mary’s Health and Rehab in LaFollette. She was a member of Coolidge Ridge Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Arthur “Ot” Gibson; infant twin great grandsons; parents, Barney Carroll and Rosie Riggs Carroll; brothers, Everette Carroll and Barney Carroll, Jr.; sisters, Jean Gillium and Susie Mefford.

Survivors: Daughter and Son-in-Law, Linda and Silas Chapman; special nephew raised as son, Jason Carroll; grandchildren, Terry and wife, Sandra Chapman, Cheryl Carroll and husband, John; great grandchildren, Jamie Chapman, Jonathon and Kinsley Carroll, all of LaFollette; brother, Jessie Carroll of Conyers, GA; sisters, Kari McFarland of Knoxville, Lucille “Blue” Hunley, Betty Wilson, Agnes Carroll, and Minnie Carroll all of LaFollette and Cloretta Carroll of Jacksboro, and a host of family and friends.

David Ray Bolton, Sr. age 64 of LaFollette, TN passed away on Friday, July 15, 2011. He was born on January 27, 1947. He was the owner of Dave’s Paint Center and security guard at Deerfield Golf Course. He enjoyed being with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Clyde Bolton and brothers Jerry Bolton and Bobby Jones.

He is survived by his mother Betty Jones, the mother of his children Frances Bolton Rains, son David Bolton, Jr. and wife Norma of LaFollette, TN, daughters Tina Hartter and husband David and Natalie Bolton both of Jacksboro, TN, brothers Alan Jones of Maryville, TN and Mike Bolton of Georgia, sisters Deanna Davis and husband Donnie and Debbie Bostic and husband Larry both of LaFollette, TN, grandchildren Whitney Bolton, Melissa White, Kelsey Oakes, Tera Hartter, Rylee Oakes, Luke Hartter, and Kylie Lambert, as well as several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial service will be at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2011 in the Martin-Wilson chapel with Rev Archie Seiber and Rev Jeff Moses officiating. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2011 in the Powell Valley Cemetery with the Campbell County Honor Guard in charge of the service. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. prior to the service.
