Gladys P. Miller, age 83, of LaFollette entered her eternal rest on Friday, March 11, at NHC in Oak Ridge. Born February 6, 1928 and a member of Coolidge First Baptist Church. Retired from the Campbell County School system after 33 years of service. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed. Preceded in death by parents, E.H. & Callie Boshears Miller; brother, Elmer Miller.

Mr. Presley N. Lawson

Mr. Presley N. Lawson, age 73 of Warren, Michigan, formerly of the Grantsboro Community in LaFollette, passed away Monday, March 14, 2011 at his home. He attended the Parkview Church of Christ. Preceded in death by his parents, Sampson and Katie Robinson Lawson, sister, Delphia Nelson, brothers, Letcher, Luther, and Archie Lawson and six infant brothers and sisters.

Survivors: Wife, Dorothy Lawson; Children, Mark Lawson, Tammy Low and husband, John and Scott Lawson, all of Michigan; Grandchildren, Andrew Scott Lawson, U.S. Army stationed in Washington State and Sarah Mae Lawson of Michigan; Sister, Geraldine Lawson; Brother, Lonnie Lawson, both of LaFollette. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Friday, 8 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Interment Saturday 10 A.M. at Murrayville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 P.M. to 8 P.M. Loretta (Madge) Stooksbury

Loretta (Madge) Stooksbury, 86, of LaFollette, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 12, 2011, at Mercy Hospital North in Knoxville, TN. Loretta grew up in the Cedar Creek area of Campbell County and lived in Jacksboro, TN, from 1963 until the fall of 2008 when she moved to LaFollette Court Assisted Living Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Avery Roach and Martha (Doolie) Gray Roach, sister Mary Hopper, beloved son, Edward L. Stooksbury and her former husband and life-long friend, Earl Stooksbury.

She is survived by her son, Gary L. Stooksbury, of Knoxville, TN, sister Ruth Roach of LaFollette, beloved grandchildren, Brandon Stooksbury and wife, Lara of Las Vegas, NV, Sara Stooksbury of Clinton, TN, and Erin Stooksbury of LaFollette, daughter-in-law Suzanne Stooksbury of LaFollette, and a host of other relatives and friends. The family wishes to express sincere gratitude for the loving care provided to her during her stay at LaFollette Court Assisted Living and would request that in lieu of flowers your gifts be made to LaFollette Court Assisted Living, 139 North Massachusetts Avenue, LaFollette, TN 37766 or the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 672648, Marietta, GA 30006.

The family will celebrate her life on Monday, March 14, from 7 to 8 P.M. followed by a brief eulogy delivered by a very special friend to the Stooksbury family, Bobby Snodderly. There will be a private visitation from 6:30 to 7 P.M. for immediate family. Family and friends will meet Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at 11 A.M. at Campbell Memorial Gardens for graveside services and interment. William L. Gray

age 65, of Middlesboro, Ky., passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at St. Mary’s Campbell County.

Born to the late Lawrence B. and Dolly Ely Gray on October 24, 1945 and raised in Middlesboro, Ky. all his life. Preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Milford Gray, Ray Gray, Ruth Gilbert, Nadine Glaze, Jewell Wilford, Juanita Warf.
