Sam F. Russell, age 82, of Caryville passed away Friday, June 10, 2011 at his home. Member of Caryville First Baptist Church, Campbell Co. Masonic Lodge and retired from Y-12 after 33 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, Fred & Bertha Russell; brothers, Wilford & Albert Russell.

Victor Baird, age 92 of LaFollette passed away Monday, June 06, 2011 at St. Mary’s Campbell Co. Former businessman and owner of LaFollette Sheet Metal, farmer and WWII veteran. Member of Church of God Holiness. Preceded in death by wife, Bernice Meredith Baird; son, Lee Scott; daughter, Darla Bell; brothers, Lee. Rev. Elbert Baird, Rev. Ben Baird; sisters, Etta Carroll, Lillian Malicoat.

Michael D. Ellison, of Curtis, Michigan, formerly of Jacksboro departed this life at the Veterans Hospital in Iron Mountain, Michigan on May 25, 2011. Mike was of the Christian faith. He served his country proudly as a Marine. Preceded in death by his father, Duard W. Ellison; brother, Douglas Ellison.

Jessie Lee Shepherd, age 83, of Red Bluff, CA, formerly of LaFollette passed away April 17th. Served in the US Army. A member of VFW and worked in occupations as varied as farming to making rocket parts while working for Rockwell. Preceded in death by wife, Harriet; parents, Esau and Elizabeth Lawson Shepherd; brothers, Luther, Gene, John and Glen; sisters, Trula and Evelyn.

Ronnie L. Walker age 50 of LaFollette passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011 at St. Mary’s Medical Center of Campbell County. He was preceded in death by daughter, Edith Nicole Lynn, father, John Walker, sisters, Patricia Shears and Nancy Evans.

Survivors: Wife, Laura Walker; Sons, Anthony Walker and wife Ashley, and Brian Walker and wife Alicia; Grandson, Riley Walker, all of LaFollette; Mother, Loretta Walker of Cleveland, TN; Sister, Missy Walker of Cleveland, TN; Brothers, Carl Walker and wife Shirley, of LaFollette, Johnny Walker and wife Belinda, of Cleveland, TN, Junior Walker of Indianapolis, IN, and Billy Walker and wife Lisa, of Cleveland, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services Tuesday 1 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lawrence Henegar officiating. Interment to follow at Cumberland View Cemetery.
