Mr. Michael Edward McCullah age 57 of Speedwell passed away Thursday, May 5, 2011 after a short illness. He was born March 3, 1954. Michael was a Navy Seal during the Vietnam Conflict and served 3 tours. Preceded in death by parents, Charles and Betty Jane McCullah, Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Harold and Teddy Parker, brother-in-law, Glenn Parker. He leaves behind many relatives and friends who will miss him, especially his cousin Karen.

Survivors: Beloved Wife of 21 years, Lynn McCullah; He was the father of: Susan Miller and husband Rob, Matt McCullah, and Marie McCullah; Grandchildren, Claire and Emily Miller; Brother, of Estile (Pete) McCullah and wife Jennifer; Nephews, Derek and Corey McCullah.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 3 P.M. at Well Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Ronnie Mutter officiating. Mr. Carlock Myers age 82 of LaFollette passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 at his home. He was a member of LaFollette United Methodist Church, a well known Business Man, Real Estate Developer, and Petroleum Business Operator. Preceded in death by parents, Orlando and Octavia Allen Myers, Brother, Bruce Myers, Sisters, Gladys Craig and Marie Thomas, Sister-in-law, Betty Jo Myers, Brother-in-law, Tilmon Parrott.

Survivors; Wife, Mrs. Nellie Myers of LaFollette; Sons, Kim Myers and wife Starla, of LaFollette, and Lee Myers and wife Patti, of LaFollette; Two Grandchildren, Kristi Leigh Myers, and Mary Grace Myers; Sisters, Ruby Parrott of LaFollette, Wilma Turner and husband Billy, of LaFollette, Frankie Langton and husband Don, of Carleton, MI, Alta Ayers of Miamisburg, OH, and Vera Sherril of Idaho; Brothers, Dan Myers and wife Josephine, of Toledo, OH, and Wade Myers of Unionville, TN; Sister-in-law, Jackie Myers of Granby, MO; Several nieces and nephews; Special Friends, The Jack Reynolds Family; Special Caregivers, Margaret Hamblin, Sandy Hatfield, Darwin Tinch, Georgia Maiden, and Ruth Manning.

Glen Byrge, 61, Jacksboro, Tennessee, went home to be with The Lord May 18th, 2011 with his wife daughter and family close at his side at Vanderbilt Medical center in Nashville.

Those blessed to know Glen witnessed his uncommon dedication to his savior Jesus Christ, his loving Wife Kathy, Daughter Angie, Grandson Alex, Grand-daughter Sydney and Son-in-law Mitch. They and those who know him as a brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin or friend are forever shaped and impressed by his uncommon love and commitment to everyone in his life, including Central Baptist Church and the nation he served so honorably in the U.S. Army. A first-rate, dependable and safe Coal Miner for much of his working life, Glen was also an avid outdoorsman, hunter, fisherman, boater and heavy equipment operator. Glen was one of those gifted people who make the complicated things in this world look easy. Glen was also an expert at finding good things to “trade on”…things people needed everyday…and things that could produce a living for his family. Glen was certain of his home in Heaven where he is today.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Early & Georgia Lee Byrge; sister, Polly Byrge.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Kathy and daughter and son-in-law, Angie & Mitch McKamey.

Evelyn Kitchen McCreary, age 91, of Jacksboro passed away Monday, May 16, 2011 at Mercy Medical – St. Mary’s Knoxville. Retired after 38 years from Imperial Reading, a last Charter member of East LaFollette Baptist Church, but attended East Jacksboro Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by parents, John and Vida Goins Kitchen; husband, Robert Jefferson McCreary; sons, Buddy, Bill, and infant Kenneth McCreary; 4 sisters and 1 brother; grandchildren, David McCreary & John Robert Ayers

Mrs. Mable Lorene Bostic age 71 of LaFollette passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was life long member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Preceded in death by father, William “Cat” Heatherly and mother, Ruth Brandenburg Heatherly Stokes.

Mable is survived by husband, Verlin Bostic; Sons, Scott and Stacey Bostic, both of Atlanta, GA; Daughter, Sherry Chapman of LaFollette; 3 Granddaughters; Sisters, Robbie Celeski, Wanda Main, and Magdalene Craven, all of Michigan; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral Services Sunday 11 A.M. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie Welden officiating. Interment to follow at Powell Valley Cemetery and Memorial Gardens.
