Tennessee Highway Patrol Seeks Your Help In Competition

Who has the best-looking patrol cruiser in the country? The Tennessee Highway Patrol, (THP) and we need your vote to win. The THP is competing to win the “2020 Best-Looking Cruiser Award.” The contest is sponsored by the American Association of State Troopers (AAST). State highway patrols and state police organizations from across the country are competing for the esteemed award.

“We are excited to be a part of this competition that spotlights our patrol vehicles,” Colonel Dereck Stewart said. “This is a fun and unique opportunity to showcase our cruisers. We are always looking for new methods to bring attention to the importance of highway safety in Tennessee.”

For the competition, THP submitted a photo of a 2019 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor with a 2007 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Police Edition motorcycle. The photo was taken off the Cherohala Skyway in Monroe County, Tennessee.
Voting will be done through SurveyMonkey. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select which state you think has the best-looking cruiser from the drop-down menu. Click “done” to cast your vote. Voting opens July 7 and ends July 22 at noon EST.

The winner will be presented with the “Best Looking Cruiser Award” and featured on the cover of the AAST Best Looking Cruisers 2021 wall calendar.

Spaghetti Dinner And Auction To Benefit Ford

For the last few weeks Jeff Ford has been in a battle for his life. Complications from a recent surgery have him hospitalized and fighting for his very survival.

A benefit dinner and auction has been organized to help aid the family financially in their time of need. The dinner will be held at the LaFollette Recreation Center in the cafeteria on Saturday July 11th from 12:30 PM until 2:30 PM.

A $6 donation will get you spaghetti, bread, and a drink. Desserts will be sold separately.

More details will be shared about the auction when they become available.
