The Cougar HOSA-Future Health Professionals have had a great run the last several years in their competions. Now they are starting out strong in the regional competition held in Jefferson City at Carson Newman College. Nine students who went through the testing process to advance to Upper East Tennessee Regionals.

During the regional testing six of those students earned ribbons and advanced to the state level. These students will be traveling to Chattanooga in March.

The following students advanced to state:

Destiny Wormsley-2nd Place Sports Medicine
Carissa Payne-3rd Place Medical Spelling
Chelsea Elkins-3rd Place Researched Persuasive Speaking and Writing
Shilyn Saylor-4th Place Dental Science
Eli Fields-5th Place Medical Math

Nate Walden, Logan Ross, Madison Daughtery also competed today they advanced from round one testing, however did not advance on to State.
