It has been a banner year for the anglers of the Cougar Fishing Team. Now they will try to add to their already lofty accomplishments as they prepare for the Tennessee Bassmaster Junior State Championship. The event takes place Friday on Watts Barr Lake.
The Cougar fishing team boasts a pair of members that have already signed to fish at high level college teams. Trevor St. John will be fishing next year at Bryan College. Seth Roberts recently signed to fish for Bethel. Both programs have been highly ranked nationally this season.
In addition three pairs of Cougar Anglers will be fishing in a national championship event after qualifying last week on Lake Chicamauga. The teams of Trevor St. John and Craig Wilson, Emory Vinsant and Harley Owens, and Bryan Hicks and Caleb Williamson will all fish in June at Kentucky Lake in Paris, TN.
