The meeting was called to order by Mayor Stanfield, followed by roll call and the approval of last months minutes. Then opened to comments from the audience. At last weeks City Council Workshop the American Legion (Jellico’s Honor Guard) came before the Council and asked for donations to help fix their vehicles. The issue was that the city council thought they were the Campbell County Honor Guard and said they would donate and that the money would come out of discretionary funds. Tonight the Campbell County Honor Guard was present at the city meeting stating they did not ask for any kind of donation from the city council. After some discussion by Campbell County Honor Guard Commander Don Chadwick the city council decided to donate the money from discretionary funds to the Campbell County Honor Guard pending the city gets a 501C3 from them.
