The Eagles of Jacksboro Middle School had a strong regular season that ended with a loss to archrival LaFollette. What nobody knew at the time was that the teams that feed Campbell County High School would clash again just a few days later in the TMSAA Area Tournament hosted by Northview Academy. The Eagles managed to defeat the Owls by a single point in that contest to advance to the semifinal round against the host school.

On Monday the Eagles returned to Kodak to face down the Cougars of Northview Academy. Not only did the Eagles face them down they dominated them by a score of 63-35. David Adkins had 20 points to lead all scorers in the game. Dom Zupancic had 15 in the contest as well.

Now the Eagle will play for the area title. They are already locked in to a spot in the TMSAA East Tennessee Tournament as the top three teams in each Area Tournament advance.
