Labor Day morning saw Deputy Cody Douglas dispatched to a disturbance in Pinecrest. At a shade before 6 AM a call came in about a woman screaming and cursing while walking from Pine Hollow Road toward Pine Crest Road. When Douglas arrived in the area he made contact with Jessica Kimberly Sheldon, 32 of Pine Hollow Road.

After she agreed to speak with Deputy Douglas he ran a standard check on her for active warrants. Sheldon had an active Violation of Probation warrant. Sheldon was placed into custody and transported to the Campbell County Jail with no incident, but the her woes did not end there.

When she arrived in the booking area she was asked the standard question of if she had anything that would be considered contraband, such as drugs or weapons. The report indicates that her answer was no. The routine search upon entering the facility indicated otherwise. She was searched by Corporal Leanne Daugherty and the search revealed a small baggy containing a crystalline substance and a foil containing suboxone. The additional evidence was logged and sent to the TBI crime lab.

Sheldon was booked in on charges of violation of probations, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, and introduction of contraband into a penal facility.

This is her 21st booking into the county jail.
