One of East Tennessee’s favorite Christmas events is the latest casualty of the COViD 19 pandemic. The Fantasy of Trees draws 60,000 people a year to see all of the displays and performances the even provides. It also raises just shy of a half million dollars a year for East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.

Director of Fantasy of Trees Pat Scot had this to say, “We will keep everyone updated and start planning for 2021! That should be our best show ever!”

A release from the Children’s hospital said it is looking for alternative fund raiser.

“Our team is still planning a holiday fundraiser. It will just look a little different this year. We are so thankful for a community that continues to generously support Children’s Hospital.”

Details of a replacement fundraiser are expected to be announced in the near future.
