Riley Faulkner and Austin Smith have been the fishing equivalent of Batman and Robin this year. The Cougar Dynamic Due have owned the waters throughout East Tennessee as part of the Bass Pro Shop High School Tournament Series. Now with the school year and high school fishing season closing the pair have ended on top of the mountain.

Faulkner and Smith had a combined total from five events of 48.60 pounds. This included the weekend tournament on Douglas Lake where they caught 3 fish for a total of 4.60 pounds to take 18th place on the day. Their teammates Hunter Richardson and Zak Long actually finished a spot ahead of them with 4.79 pounds.

For the season Faulkner and Smith had their biggest finish on Cherokee Lake with 17.39 pounds.

This will be the last we see of the pair on the high school level. Faulkner will be seeking a new partner next year as Smith will be graduating. It will not be the end for Smith though as he has signed to fish on the next level for Carson Newman in Jefferson City.
