On February 16, 2021 Campbell Criminal Court Judge E. Shayne Sexton found the following individual in violation of their supervised release and remanded them to Tennessee Department of Corrections (TDOC) custody:

Jason Dwaine Owens, of LaFollette, had previously plead guilty to two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Contraband in a Penal Facility, and was required to serve 60 days prior to being placed on TDOC supervision for 3 years. He was found guilty of violating the terms of his release and was sentenced to serve his 3 year sentence in TDOC custody.
Robert Anthony Trippensee, of Caryville, had previously plead guilty Assault, Possession of Sch. II Meth for Resale, and was required to serve 30 days prior to being placed on TDOC supervision for 3 years. He was found guilty of violating the terms of his release and was sentenced to serve his 3 year sentence in TDOC custody.

Michael Jason Smith, of Maryville, had previously plead guilty to two counts of Theft over $2,500, five counts of Theft over $1,000 and three counts of Theft under $1,000, and was required to serve 42 days prior to being placed on TDOC supervision for 3 years. He was found guilty of violating the terms of his release and was sentenced to serve his 3 year sentence in TDOC custody.

Shannon Owens, of Knoxville, had previously plead guilty to Theft Over $2,500 and Aggravated Burglary and was required to serve 1 day prior to being placed on TDOC supervision for 6 years. She was found guilty of violating the terms of his release and was sentenced to serve her 6 year sentence in TDOC custody.
Kayla N. McCoy, of Campbell County, had previously plead guilty to Theft over $10,000, Felony Evading Arrest and Driving on Suspended 2nd Offense, and was required to serve 252 days prior to being placed on TDOC supervision for 3 years. She was found guilty of violating the terms of his release and was sentenced to serve her 3 year sentence in TDOC custody.

The above violators were prosecuted by the Office of District Attorney General Jared Effler.
