A former LaFollette man and a pair of other men were indicted by the Anderson County Grand Jury on numerous charges. Brandon Campbell, 20 of Oak Ridge formerly of LaFollette, as well as Jacob Tate and Richard Howe have been indicted on charges of especially aggravated kidnapping, rape of a child, and aggravated sexual battery and conspiracy to commit rape of a child. The first two charges are Class A Felonies and the latter two charges are Class B Felonies. Campbell is facing an additional rape charge as well. According to the indictments the alleged crimes took place on February 7th and 8th 2016 and the child was younger than 13.
According to the indictments Campbell picked up the child from Shoney’s in Oak Ridge where she was reportedly with Tate. The purpose of the pick up was to take her to the residence of Howe where their intent was to kidnap and rape her.
The trio are all set to be in court on March 31 in Clinton for an arraignment. All three had a bond set at $100,000.
Campbell is currently free on bond.
