Former pastor Jimmy Orick has entered a number of guilty pleas in connection with the allegations that he exually assaulted a teenage girl that he and his wife had taken into their home. Orick plead guilty and the court accepted his pleas to three counts of attempted statutory rape, three count of aggravated statutory rape and a pair of count of sexual battery by an authority figure. He will be sentenced later this year.

These charges stem from early 2017 when Orick was accused of these crimes against a then 17 year old girl who was living with him. The investigation began in December 2017 after the girl’s mother called authorities, according to records. Jacksboro Police and the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department investigated. The girl, who was 16 at the time, told officers that, in her words, molested her and she had an audio recording to prove it. At the time Orick was the pastor of Mountain View Independent Baptist Church.
