The day before Valentine’s Day authorities in Anderson County struck a blow against drugs. The 7th Judicial Drug Task Force served search warrants at a Briceville home and found a staggering amount of illegal drugs.

In all over $50,000 in drugs were seized by authorities. Over a pound of methamphetamines and 21 grams of heroin were discovered, along with prescription pills numbering in the hundreds. A suspect was located and interviewed by the officers as well. Charges are currently pending on this case.

The 7th Judicial Crime Task Force is a multi-jurisdictional task force comprised of the 7th Judicial District Attorney General’s Office, Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, Clinton Police Department, Oak Ridge Police Department, Oliver Springs Police Department, and Rocky Top Police Department.
