Deputy Nathaniel Bostic did not have to go far to get his suspect on Tuesday. Reports came into the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department that a vehicle had ran over a curve outside the County Court Clerk’s office. Deputy Bostic made contact with Haley Humphrey, 23 of Jacksboro, who was getting into the driver’s seat of her vehicle through the passenger side’s door.
When Deputy Bostic went to speak to Humphrey he noticed a hypodermic needle laying on top of the emergency break. He then requested that Humphrey exit the vehicle. Deputy Bostic and Lieutenant Mallory Campbell then conducted a search of the vehicle. The search turned up quite the array of illegal substances. A small baggy of a powdery substance was found in a bag in the backseat, a crystal like substance consistent with methamphetamine was found in the backseat, and another baggy with a dissolvable strip and another half of a dissolvable strip with cartoon characters on them were also found. According to the report this turned out to be 9 grams of cocaine, half a gram of methamphetamine, and a stip and a half of LSD.
Humphrey was taken into custody and walked to the jail. She is charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, and two counts of Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.
