Destiny Wormsley had several key sets and serves as the Lady Cougars pick up another huge district win

The Lady Cougars made their way south on I-75 to the Emory road exit on Tuesday to battle the Lady Panthers of Powell. The Lady Panthers proved to be no match for the Lady Cougars.

In junior varsity action the Lady Cougars swept the Lady Panthers in two straight sets. From the looks of the JV the Lady Cougars should be strong for years to come. After the JV win it was time for the main event of the evening.

The Lady Cougars just proved to be too much for the Lady Panthers to handle. The Lady Cougars won in three straight sets. The third set proved to be complete domination on the part of the Lady Cougars. The Lady Panthers could not even reach double digits as the Lady Cougars defeated them 25-5 to end the match.

Destiny Wormsley set up the big win with a trio of ace serves that put the Lady Cougars up 5-0. Anna Cain and Lexy Richardson had impressive kills that kept the Lady Panthers down. Morgan Stanley helped wrap things up for the Lady Cougars with a pair of ace serves of her own.
