On April 4th 2018 at 0800 The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team executed a narcotics search warrant at 149 Trace Road Lafollette, Tennessee. Investigators with the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office and 8th Judicial Drug Task prior to the search warrant had conducted undercover operations by purchasing crystal methamphetamine from multiple individuals inside of the residence.

After the execution of search warrant Kimberly Arthur Malicoat 47 of Lafollette who was the primary target of this investigation drove by the residence attempting to avoid law enforcement. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and arrested Malicoat for driving on a revoked license.

Investigators interviewed Malicoat and she directed them to area near her residence where she threw a quantity of methamphetamine out of her vehicle window as she passed by.

Malicoat was arrested on driving charges and will be facing charges of the sale and delivery of a schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of a scheduled II controlled substance and driving while in possession of methamphetamine.

Sheriff Goins adds that this week’s ongoing operations continues to show the committment of his office and his staff in the fight against the drug and opoid epidemic. “Sometimes we can’t share everything we want to about these operations to protect the integrity of the investigation, but this week is just a glimpse of what we do here and why. The ultimate reason is to work together to save lives, period.” said Sheriff Robbie K. Goins.
