Deputy Dakota Williams was dispatched to Lake Road in Caryville last week after a call to dispatch noted that a man was standing on the caller’s porch.

Deputy Williams made contact with the man, identified as Franklin David Marlow, 30 of 1819 Lake City Highway in Clinton. When Williams asked Marlow why he was on the porch Marlow reportedly told him that his heart had led him there and that he was waiting to use the phone.

Deputy Williams then asked him if he had anything illegal on him. According to the report Marlow stated that he had a hypodermic needle that he had used to inject methamphetamine an hour before. Deputy WIlliams took the needle in question and inserted it into a sharps container,

He then took Marlow into custody and charged him with public intoxication. He was transported to the Campbell COunty Jail and booked in for his third booking.
