Last year Jimmy Orick was charged with a variety of sex crimes. On August 6th his attorney of record, Greg Isaacs, appeared in court and entered a guilty plea on his behalf.
Through this plea Orick plead guilty to three counts of aggravated statutory rape, three counts of attempted statutory rape by an authority figure, and two counts of sexual battery by an authority figure.
These charges stem from early 2017 when Orick was accused of these crimes against a then 17 year old girl who was living with him. The investigation began in December 2017 after the girl’s mother called authorities, according to records. Jacksboro Police and the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department investigated. The girl, who was 16 at the time, told officers that, in her words, molested her and she had an audio recording to prove it. At the time Orick was the pastor of Mountain View Independent Baptist Church.
Orick is set to be sentenced December 14,2018.
