Earlier this week Judge Shayne Sexton remanded the following people to the Tennessee Department of Correction for violating the terms of their probation. The violators were prosecuted by the office of 8th Judicial District Attorney General Jared Effler.

David Joseph Baird, of LaFollette, had previously plead guilty to Theft greater than $10,000.00, and Aggravated Burglary and received a suspended sentence of 5 years supervised by TDOC. He was found guilty of violating the terms of his release and was sentenced to serve his 5 year sentence in TDOC custody.

Jonathan Terry, of Clairfield, had previously plead guilty to Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card >$500, and ten counts of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card less than$500 and received a suspended sentence of 8 years supervised by TDOC. He was found guilty of violating the terms of his release and was sentenced to serve his 8 year sentence in TDOC custody.

Jeremy Lynch, of Jellico, had previously plead guilty to Theft less than $1,000 and Theft greater than $1,000 and received a suspended sentence of 5 years supervised by TDOC. He was found guilty of violating the terms of his release and was sentenced to serve his 5 year sentence in TDOC custody.

Johnny Cupp, of Campbell County, had previously plead guilty to violating the HMVO bar and received a suspended sentence of 4 years supervised by TDOC. He was found guilty of violating the terms of his release and was sentenced to serve his 4 year sentence in TDOC custody.

Paxton Cheleste Long, of LaFollette, had previously plead guilty to twenty counts of Forgery, Theft greater than$2,500, and Felony Evading Arrest and received a suspended sentence of 3 years supervised by TDOC. She was found guilty of violating the terms of her release and was sentenced to serve his 3 year sentence in TDOC custody.

Angela Broyles Lay, of Duff, had previously plead guilty to two counts of the Sale of Schedule II Oxycodone and received a suspended 3 year sentence supervised by TDOC. She was found guilty of violating the terms of her release and was sentenced to serve her 3 year sentence in TDOC custody.

Lewis Eugene Perry, of LaFollette, had previously plead guilty to Violation of HMVO Bar, and Failure to Appear and received a suspended 2 year sentence supervised by TDOC. He was found guilty of violating the terms of his release and was sentenced to serve his 2 year sentence in TDOC custody.

Dartanyan D. Lay, of Jellico, had previously plead guilty to Aggravated Burglary, Robbery, and Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Facility and received a suspended 6 year sentence supervised by TDOC. He was found guilty of violating the terms of his release and was sentenced to serve his 6 year sentence in TDOC custody.
