I have had the pleasure of working with a lot of great tag teams during my rasslin days. The one team I truly enjoyed working with the most was the Death Row Inmates. The DRI has everything I love about a tag team; size, power, good in ring psychology and most importantly a variety of double team moves.

Jason Max and Willie B. Badd are the Death Row Inmates. Both of who are big men and talented rasslers in their own right. I know that Jason has held a variety of titles on his own but he truly excels when teamed with Willie (this is not to say Willie has not held titles too but I don’t remember him as much as a singles rassler).

I first got to work with them in SECW. They were the first team we used that was really a team besides Chris and Mike Powers. Everybody else was just a pair of singles rasslers thrown together to make a team. These two showed us the importance of having an actual tag team division. They were very over with the crowd because the work they did in the ring was some of the best I have seen on the indy wrestling scene. Heck they are a better team than anybody that WWE has these days. I compare them favorably to Beer Money Inc. from TNA and they are by far the best tag team of the last several years. If they had been rasslin in the 80’s they would have been the tag team champions of multiple promotions.

I was lucky enough to manage the DRI during their run as SECW Tag Team Champions. Of course they finally got fed up with ol’ Perfect Pat, as I am sure my shady managerial style cost them a match they did not want to lose. For this they put me in lockdown. Unfortunately lockdown is not like being put in time out. It involves one three hundred pound killing machine holding me while another 300-pound killing machine jumps on top of me. Luckily for me they stopped short of killing me.

Later after I got pout of the rasslin business they must have forgiven me my transgressions because they speak to me rather than beat me up these days. All kidding aside there are few people I enjoyed working with ore than Jason and Willie.

In addition to being a great wrestler Willie is also a great musician. At one show he brought his band to do a preshow performance and during the intermissions various rasslers even came out to sing (though some rasslers should probably stick with rasslin rather than singing). I can honestly say that was as fun of a show as we had.

One time on TV the DRI even called out a rival local promotion. They had the other guys so torn up that they showed up at the TV station ready to fight. You know you are masters of the microphone when you can get people to leave their house at 10 PM and get them to drive to a TV station to confront you.

Folks if you are ever at an indy rasslin event and you see that the DRI is on the card or just Jason or Willie I can promise you that you are in for a great show.
