Earlier today a call came in to 911 dispatch in regards to an incident occurring in front of the Verizon store in Jacksboro. According to Jacksboro police, they were assisted by county and Caryville with a prompt, professional response. Officers did draw their weapons upon arrival. There was however, a miscommunication between dispatch and police in regards to the severity of the situation. Police arrived prepared for suspects to be armed and attempting possible robbery of the Verizon store. The situation was diffused quickly once officers realized the suspects were unarmed and it was only a case of road rage that had begun on interstate and ended in front of the Verizon store. No arrests were made.
