Wanda Faye Sellers

Mrs. Wanda Faye Sellers age 56 of LaFollette passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021. Preceded in death by Parents, Archie and Omeda Fugate, Sisters, Lula “Tootsie” Wheeler, and Rhoda Jordan.

Survivors: Sons, Chris Sellers and Matt Sellers; Grandson, Brantley Sellers; Brothers, Alfred Fugate, Ronnie Fugate, Kenneth Fugate, Hiram Fugate, David Fugate, Jeff Fugate, and Hiram J. Fugate; Sisters, Betty Eversole, Ella Smith, Christine Wells, and Gracie Wright. Several Nieces, Nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Betty J. Ayers Ray

Betty J. Ayers Ray, age 88, of LaFollette, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021. She was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church. Preceded in death by Husbands: D.W. Ayers and James T. Ray, Son Darrell Ayers, Parents Hugh Cordell and Lillie Sharp Cordell. Brother Donald Cordell and Sister Sharon Marlow.

Tilman Thomas Voyles, age 63, of Duff passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. He was a brick mason, loved the Lord and his family. Preceded in death by parents: Edgar and Beulah Carr Voyles.

Clyde McGhee

Clyde McGhee, 80, of Knoxville, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at home with his family. Clyde was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved to tell stories and was known for his fun sense of humor. Clyde loved following the weather, fishing, watching Westerns, eating sweets, and spending time at a family cabin at Big Pine. Clyde also loved all of his grand dogs.

Clyde was a long-time member of Ridgeview Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and worked with the youth. He also enjoyed attending Grace Baptist Church on Oak Ridge Highway with his son’s family. Clyde was successful in his sales career, including many years with Austin Powder Company and Dryden Oil Company, due to his good-natured personality. He never met a stranger and could sell ice to an Eskimo.

Clyde is preceded in death by his parents Howard and Rhoda McGhee, 3 brothers and 4 sisters. He is survived by his wife Brenda with whom he recently celebrated 60 years of marriage; daughter Angie, sons Tony (Linda), Todd (Sylvia), and Clyde Timothy (Amy) McGhee; grandchildren Dennis (Heather), Kristen (Peyton), Ethan, Madison, and Justin (Natalee) McGhee; Candis (Lucas) Hale and Sarah (Jeremiah) Gibbs; nine great-grandchildren; brothers Marshall (Shirley) and George (Mary) McGhee; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends Ted and Donna Loy and the Joe Williams family. The family would like to extend special thanks to Clyde’s longtime doctor, Dr. Paul Wakefield, and to Ashely Dunn and the UT Medical Center Hospice team.

Receiving friends will be on Thursday, March 4th from 4 – 6 pm followed by a service at 6 pm at Bridges Funeral Home in Knoxville; Clyde Timothy McGhee and David McGill officiating; music by Jim Duncan. Interment will be on Friday, March 5th at 11 am at Cumberland View Cemetery in Jacksboro.

Russell Lee Smith II, age 51, of Speedwell passed away on Tuesday March 2, 2021. He was a member of Christian Academy Baptist Church. Preceded in death by father: Russell Lee Smith.
