On March 16, 2021, following an exception from the Tennessee Supreme Court to hold a jury trial during the Covid-19 pandemic, a Campbell County jury found Jeffrey M. Davis, of Jellico, Tennessee, guilty as charged of two counts of Aggravated Assault and Attempted Aggravated Burglary. Campbell County Criminal Court Judge E. Shayne Sexton scheduled a sentencing hearing for May 17, 2021.

This case was investigated and prosecuted by Assistant Chief Raymond Surber with the Jellico Police Department. Lieutenant Travis Bostic of the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office was an integral part to the prosecution of the case. At trial, the state was represented by Assistant District Attorney Jordan W. Howanitz.
